Kara Bellucci is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Columbia University and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Reno, Nevada. Kara has 7 years of critical care experience working at a Level I Trauma Center, an acute alcohol and opioid detox facility, a community hospital, and a COVID-19 ICU ward. During her nurse practitioner training, Kara pursued her interest in cardiology in the cardiovascular ICU and with the cardiothoracic surgery team at Stanford Health Care and the Palo Alto VA.

Prior to her nursing career, Kara served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi and co-founded a women-owned business in her village. As a DNP candidate, Kara merged her passion for critical care and global health by developing an ICU curriculum for nurses at Bwindi Community Hospital in Uganda and Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital in Cambodia.

Kara strives to provide patient care that is collaborative, compassionate, and addresses the socioeconomic and cultural dimensions of health. She is excited to join COR Healthcare’s dynamic team and serve her native South Bay community. In her free time, Kara enjoys reading fiction, hosting dinner parties, and hiking with her husband and son.
